There have been plenty of spooky-themed series on television, from zombies and end-of-the-world dystopian dramas to crime series, vampires, and even werewolves. But perhaps the best ones are all about witches. There are great series out there for fans of the supernatural, and the five listed below might catch your attention if you’re wanting a witchy fall season.
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Who doesn’t remember the lovable Sabrina from Sabrina the Teenage Witch? She had a lovely chatty black cat as her sidekick and aunts who helped her get out of sticky situations.
It’s an adorable sitcom about a teen witch feeling her way around magic and spells, all while also navigating the waters of being a normal teenager.
Once Upon a Time
If you like all kinds of fairytales, Once Upon a Time is the show for you!
It’s a modern twist on all of our childhood favorites, and there’s everything from mermaids, villains, princesses, fairytale creatures, and witches, including Rumpelstiltskin.
The Secret Circle
This CW series only lasted one season, but it was worth watching. After all, no one understands witches better than The CW.
They just know how to create interesting characters and unfold great storylines, which they definitely managed with The Secret Circle.
Salem
Everyone has heard of the Salem witch trials, and many people feel like there should be more shows about that period.
It’s interesting, and those were, as the legends say, some of the most influential witches. You can sink your teeth into three seasons of the series Salem and enjoy.
Wizards of Waverly Place
This adorable show about a fun-loving “normal” family of wizards took over Disney in the early 2000s, and no one has forgotten it. The middle child Alex Russo, played by Selena Gomez, always managed to stir things up amongst the family members, and even though they all tried to keep the secret of their magical powers, the secret came out here and there. Everything is not what it seems in this series, and it’s a must-watch for all!
