Everybody who saw Zendaya in her custom Valentino at the 2023 SAG Awards praised her amazing look. Valentino’s Instagram post stated that Zendaya outdid the original Old Hollywood with her flawless execution of the Old Hollywood glamour look in a custom-designed blush pink silk gown by the label’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Zendaya Shined During the SAG Awards
Law Roach was responsible for styling Zendaya’s ensemble. Her red-carpet gown was the epitome of romance and movie-star glamour, with a form-fitting strapless bustier bodice and an A-line skirt decorated with 190 intricate silk roses. The vintage Tinseltown aesthetic was accentuated by her pin-curled bob, as well as the jeweled collar necklace and diamond cuff bracelet that she wore to complement the ensemble.
It’s no surprise that Zendaya, being the fashion icon that she is, didn’t settle for just one look. When presenting the award for outstanding female performance in a miniseries or TV movie, she wore a second outfit with a more streamlined silhouette. The dress boasted a color-blocked design and a geometric cutout at the bodice, adding an edgy touch to the ensemble.
Zendaya Was Nominated
Not only did Zendaya present at the SAG Awards, but she was also one of the evening’s distinguished honorees. Her portrayal of Rue in the second season of HBO’s Euphoria earned her a nomination for outstanding female actor in a drama series. Although this was her first Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, she is no stranger to awards ceremonies, having already won two Emmy awards for best actress in a drama series in 2020 and 2022, as well as a Golden Globe in 2023, all for her performance in Euphoria.
Zendaya’s success on the screen is not the only reason for her popularity. She has also made a significant impact off-screen with her activism and advocacy work. In 2020, she also used her platform to speak out about injustices. She also launched a collaboration with the nonprofit organization Convoy of Hope to provide food, water, and supplies to people in need.
